Mrittika is a community-driven non-governmental organisation committed to building an inclusive, compassionate and self-reliant society. Rooted in the philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because we are”, Mrittika believes that true progress is only possible when individuals grow together, supporting and uplifting one another.
Founded with the vision of creating meaningful social impact, Mrittika works at the grassroots level to address real challenges faced by under-served communities. The organization focuses on four key pillars – Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment, ensuring holistic development that goes beyond short-term aid and fosters long-term change.
Through Ichhedana, Mrittika nurtures the creative and educational growth of children by providing free learning spaces that encourage curiosity, confidence and self-expression. Unmesh empowers women with skill-based training, enabling them to achieve financial independence and dignity. Shohochori works towards breaking taboos around menstrual health through awareness, education, and access to hygiene resources. Aastha serves as a pillar of emotional and social support, strengthening trust, resilience and human connection within communities.
At Mrittika, the goal is not charity, but solidarity. Every initiative is designed to create a ripple effect – where empowering one individual leads to the upliftment of many. By fostering participation, dignity and shared responsibility, Mrittika strives to build a future where no one is left behind.
Together, we grow. Together, we rise.
